Our practice director and mentor, Kelly, founded the practice in 1990. Kelly graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984, and then proceeded to work in both hospital and private practice before opening her own clinic.  

Kelly is a pioneer in the use of the Blankenship System for Functional Capacity Evaluations in Queensland where she was one of the first to travel to the United States to receive this qualification in 1999.

Kelly has a passion for educating her patients in self-management techniques. With her bubbly personality and wealth of knowledge, we are very lucky to have her leading our team.


Janelle Hambleton

Janelle graduated from the University of Queensland in 1986 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and worked in the public sector for 10 years at the Prince Charles and Maryborough hospitals. 

Since then she has working in private practice with specific interests in treating shoulder, knee and spinal injuries/conditions. She also enjoys developing management strategies and exercise programs for clients with chronic disease conditions.  

Janelle has three children and she enjoys exercising with her dog and gardening in her spare time.

Karen Saunders

Karen qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2001. Karen also completed a post-graduate specialisation in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy.

Karen has always enjoyed improving her knowledge base and continually pushing herself to learn more through research and courses, especially from international lecturers, where possible. Karen’s goal is to empower her patients through individualised rehabilitation programmes and educate them to ensure optimal quality of life and function. Karen’s approach foucses on detailed assessments and analysis of posture and movement dysfunction. She adopts a practical, hands-on management plan including manual and manipulative therapy techniques, restoration of muscle imbalances, postural and movement correction, and strengthening with patient-specific exercise progressions.  

Karen is an extremely passionate physiotherapist, dedicated to the profession and to her patients as well as other team members she works with. Karen prides herself on providing patients with her utmost attention, listening to their concerns, and providing them with the best possible treatment plan following a comprehensive and thorough examination.

As a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist (member of  Massage & Myotherapy Australia) Chunmei can help to make your life more liveable, by relieving some of the aches, pains, stresses and strains that everyday life can cause. Remedial massage is used to aid recovery from the injuries caused by the strains of everyday life, including postural problems and repetitive stress injuries. If you have particular muscle tension or chronic pain, a remedial massage may be for you. While remedial massage encompasses some techniques from relaxation massage, it also incorporates advanced joint mobilisation and stretching techniques to provide deep and lasting relief.


Yannik Wouts | Physiotherapist

Yannik graduated from Otago University in New Zealand in 2013 and has worked overseas in London and New Zealand before moving to Brisbane. Over the last 5 years he has worked exclusively in private practices seeing a mixture of clients from children, geriatrics, elite to amateur sports peoples.

 He has a particular interest in the neck having gained a lot of experience working in a whiplash clinic for motor vehicle accident victims. He is a keen soccer player and enjoys socialising and travelling with friends.

Louis Savill | Physiotherapist

Louis graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has since worked in private practice. His primary focus is on management of musculoskeletal conditions and he works hard to ensure he provides his patients with best practice, evidence-based care. 

Louis has special interest in treating shoulder, elbow and knee injuries as well as the use of strength training for rehabilitation and injury reduction.

Michael is a QUT Graduate with several years of audit and insolvency experience who has recently completed his Chartered Accountancy program and has attained full membership.

Michael’s interests lie in all low-tier social sport, Men’s health, having his shoulders reconstructed, international travel and E-sports.

Alex Filips

Alex filips | physio student | receptionist

Alex has been working with us since 2012 while studying. She is now in her final year of Physiotherapy and is set to graduate in 2019. Alex works mainly on a Saturday and is always happy to chat, help you with your home exercise program, show you some new stretches or explain different conditions to you.
